For centuries, Lazarus MacEachen, the last of the Eichthighearn dragons, lived alone in a drafty old castle in northern Scotland. His parents had been killed defending their home from marauders and his siblings had disappeared without a trace. He blamed himself for their loss.
Finally, after five hundred years, Lazarus left his family home and Scotland to work in America. He never stopped wondering what happened to his brothers and sister, and he never stopped looking for them. The time finally came to put everything aside. He would leave his job and his close friends in America and return to Scotland for one last search.
Aria McDuff woke in a strange bed. She didn’t know where she was, or where she had been. She was haunted by strange dreams and the constant feeling she was supposed to remember something important, but it kept slipping away. When she did remember, would Lazarus believe the strange story she told?
